Vacancy - Club Coach

BromBeck HC are looking to recruit a dynamic and energetic individual to be our first club hockey coach, in a full time role, as part of our ongoing development strategy. This follows the completion of our first pitch at Langley Park School for Girls in summer 2016. The role involves a mix of school, junior, adult and performance hockey coaching, but we will also be looking to you to support the wider hockey club development plan.

BromBeck HC is one of the oldest and proudest hockey clubs in the UK, following the merger at the start of the 2005/6 season, we have been a consistently high performing club, with our men’s 1st team spending 9 years in the national league and recently reaching the semi-finals of the National Cup. We have aspirations for both our Mens and Ladies 1st teams to be consistent performing at this level. We have 9 adult men’s and 6 adult ladies teams.

We also have a strong junior section with over 300 members. They compete at all ages from U8 to U18, with the boys winning national titles indoors and outdoors in the recent years.

The Club Coach Role

The club coach role will involve a mix of club coaching (both adults and juniors) as well as leading the BromBeck into school program.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of club coaching and club development, as well as exposure to performance hockey and a desire to work with us to create an even better club.

Responsibilities will include: leading midweek club and junior coaching, supporting our full range of teams on a Saturday, helping with junior coaching on a Sunday, leading (and developing) our into schools programme, supporting the integration of juniors into adult teams and coaching our school holiday programme.

You will be expected to deliver enjoyable sessions with high quality technical content throughout your coaching portfolio at the club.
