Bromley Borough win London Youth Games

I am delighted to announce that the London borough of Bromley has won the 2016 Jubilee Trophy at the London Youth Games. This event is Europe's largest youth sports festival and it's Bromley's first win since 2010.

Our hockey teams, both boys and girls, played an instrumental part in the win. The boys were outright Gold medal winners not losing a single game and the girls lost the final to win the silver medal. Our two hockey teams made up largely of members of Bromley and Beckenham hockey club junior members won 96 out of a possible 100 points. Given team Bromley won the Jubilee trophy by 2 points 1164 to 1162 over previous hat-trick winners Wandsworth it shows the vital contribution our hockey teams made.

Well done to the boys and girls and James and Alex who coached them - fantastic result.
